Northern Products Company is a family-owned protective packaging fabricator headquartered in Chicago. For over five decades, we’ve been engineering custom foam, wood, corrugated, and plastic packaging solutions for companies that can’t afford to have their products arrive damaged.

Founded in 1972, Northern Products Company started as a small wood crating shop on Chicago’s industrial west side. Over the decades, we expanded into foam fabrication, corrugated design, and thermoformed plastics — always driven by the same principle: treat every customer’s product as if it were our own.
Today we’re a second-generation, family-owned business with a full in-house engineering team. We design, prototype, and manufacture under one roof, which means faster turnaround and direct communication at every step.
Our customers range from aerospace and defense contractors to medical device manufacturers and industrial equipment OEMs. What they share is a need for packaging that performs — and a partner who understands the stakes.
